 FACTORY MEDIA TIMOTHY JOHN has been appointed managing editor for Road Cycling UK.Factory Media said the appointment is to supplement the strong team in place with a focus on delivering the highest quality content to performance cyclists. John joins as a classically trained journalist with a background in regional papers and is a passionate road cyclist. His role will include planning and content production with the wider team on the site, including editor Richard Hallett. John and Hallett will both report to Factory Media director James Carter. “We are delighted to have Tim on board to


help drive the focused approach to editorial excellence on RCUK,” enthused Carter. “With this high quality extra resource in the team I feel confident we can continue to grow the site as the UK’s number one destination for those passionate about performance road cycling. “The editorial focus going forwards will service this quality obsessed audience even better as we drop fringe content like commuter issues that don’t connect with our core audiences veracious appetite for performance- based kit and news.”

 CTC GORDON SEABRIGHT has taken on chief executive duties at the CTC as of the start of March. Chair of CTC Council David Cox said: “I am delighted that Gordon is joining us as our new CEO and look forward to working with him. Gordon is a keen leisure cyclist and very experienced in the world of membership charities, as well as in tourism and event management. Gordon joins us at a time when cycling is again taking centre stage in British national life and his commitment and expertise are exactly what CTC needs for the future.” Seabright has worked for a number of high


profile charities and membership organisations. Previously, he was the acting director general of The Royal Horticultural Society and the commercial director of English Heritage, where he was also in charge of Stonehenge. He lives in Wiltshire, with his wife and two teenage daughters.


He said of the role: “I’m thrilled to be joining
