METALCASTING SUPPLIES Panel Mounted Robot Controller
ABB Robotics upgraded its IRC5 panel-mounted controller (PMC) to all of its robots, including the largest models. Te up- date allows for a smaller footprint functionality and simplified internal cabling benefits to robot models IRB 2400 up to the IRB 7600. Also, integrating large robots is made easier due to the flexibility to create custom enclosures to allow for installation in any type of harsh environment which will benefit numberous installation types. Te PMC Large offers the full capability of the standard controller without the
full cabinet armor. Tis allows flexible mounting while still
delivering motion control advantages. Visit

Casting Simulation Suite
ESI Group announced the release of the lat- est version of its Casting Simulation Suite. The new version of the software, composed of ProCast and QuickCAST, is complemented with a fill- ing systems design tool developed by the Centre Technique des Industries de la Fonderie (CTIF), a French casting research center. The SALSA 3D tool calculates efficient filling, helps to calculate and size gating and running systems and assists in
designing gates, overflow and runners. Visit

Konica Minolta 3D Printing
Konica Minolta 3D Scanning Labs, Ramsey, N.J, announced the addition of 3D Systems’ Projet HD 3000 3D Production System that will allow the company to offer 3D printing services. 3D print- ing services creates more possibilities for prototype testing and development for advanced engineering, manufacturing and jewlery. The system can run in High Definition or Ultra High Definition, for applications ranging from prototypes and concepts
to direct castable models. Visit
