Dear Sisters, I can hardly believe we’re to this halfway
point of our year! It goes very quickly. And, of course, National Convention is early this year, July 21-25. This issue is full of information about Reno, Nevada, the site of our 99th National Convention. Learn about all there is to see and do, and then register on Page 11 for both Convention and for the National President’s Dinner. What used to be the luncheon is now a dinner due to the shift in scheduling at Convention. We LOVE having more Sisters and Comrades join us for this special occasion. Get your tickets today! We join the voice of our VFW Comrades when they go to Capitol
Hill to fi ght for the rights of our military service personnel, veterans and their families. Each year, the VFW publishes the VFW Priority Goals, which detail those issues that the VFW will be working on in the legislative arena. We highlight them for you in this issue. Be aware (in this election year!) of what’s important to veterans so that you can be an informed voter. See Pages 12-16. National Senior Vice-President Leanne Lemley was proud to
represent the Ladies Auxiliary VFW during her trip to Europe in the fall. Read more about all she saw and experienced on Pages 18-24. You will love the story on Pages 26-28 about two Ladies Auxiliary
members going above and beyond to record the stories of veterans. Be inspired by their hard work! Finally, read ALL of General Orders No. 4. There are changes
you and your Ladies Auxiliary need to know! Thank you for all you do! I am amazed by the many projects
you work on that truly make a difference in the lives of our veterans and their families and the very communities they live in. Keep up the good work!
Loyally, Gwen Rankin National President
