VFW ACTION CORPS

This grassroots lobbying effort is comprised of volunteers who write, call and visit lawmakers to discuss issues that will directly impact veterans and their families.

Action Corps members help influence the passage or defeat of federal legislation based on the VFW’s Priority Goals by visiting and writing congressional officials.

THE MISSION:

1. To inform and educate members and supporters on initiatives and policies that affect veterans.

2. To communicate and promote the VFW viewpoint before Congress. 3. To encourage greater grassroots participation in the democratic process through increased communication with congressional officials.

Also, Action Corps relies on its members to establish and maintain

a relationship with their legislators, as well as to keep their lawmakers informed about key veterans issues and educate them on VFW’s legislative agenda. To learn more about being involved, go to:

www.vfw.org/VFW-in-DC/Action-Corps/ Be sure to report all these activities under the Legislative Program!
