BY LAURA GELDER Qatar Airways has chosen London Heathrow as the place to launch its first dedicated lounge for First and Business passengers outside of Doha. The premium lounge, now open, is
located in Terminal 4 and has been created to reflect the airline’s five-star quality positioning. As well as a business centre with PCs
and printers, power sockets at every seat and free wi-fi, the lounge has an open- plan dining area with a delicatessen, theatre-style global-brasserie kitchen and a Martini bar. A wine cellar complements the private and communal dining rooms. Other facilities in the lounge include private showers with heated floors and luxury-brand amenities. Many of the designs and features reflect
the airline’s Middle Eastern heritage and include water fountains, mosaic floors and fretwork walls. Speaking at the lounge opening Qatar
