After separating the garlic bulb into individual cloves, plant the cloves 5” apart in well-prepared and well-drained soil in a sunny location. Plant the cloves so that the tips are 2” beneath the surface. Mulch lightly in areas where winter temperatures fall below 0°F. Garlic will be ready to harvest the end of the following summer. We ship only 3 garlic varieties in the spring. If you want garlic for fall planting, please make sure we have your email address on our website

ShaLLot CULtUre Divide heads into individual bulblets just before planting. Push into the soil so ½ “ - 1” of soil covers the neck of the bulb. Plant about 4” apart in rows 1’ apart. Each bulblet will multiply during the growing season to form a cluster of 6 or more new bulbs depending on soil fertility. Harvest when tops fall and begin to turn brown. Dry in an airy place.
Shallots ship March 1st through May 15th. They will be shipped separately at the proper planting time for your area. Sorry, we cannot ship outside the continental United States.
