BRUSSELS SPROUTS CULTURE
Usually grown as a fall crop and can withstand frosts which improves flavor. Sow seeds directly into the garden in late spring. Sow thinly, 3-4” apart, ¼” deep in rows 30” apart. Allow 10 days for germination and later thin plants to 18” apart. Harvest sprouts often, picking the lowest sprouts on the stem first. As soon as the next sprout forms, remove the accompanying leaf to leave room for the sprout to grow and mature.
