June Bearers


30075 HONEOYE. Sensational strawberry flavor is the main in- gredient in this high yielding, New York State-born variety. Fruits are huge (our largest), very sweet, firm and juicy. Winter hardy and highly resistant to Berry Rot. Vigorous plants yield baskets of conical, glossy red berries. Ripens about a week after Earliglow.


30055 CAVENDISH. An introduction from Nova Scotia, where it has been bred for superior winter hardiness. Strong runners and excellent disease resistance ensures a solid plant stand. Ripens in early midseason, right after Honeoye (above), yielding loads of large, firm, bright red, flavorful berries.

EARLIGLOW. Our leading early variety. Combines earliness with outstanding disease re- sistance. Fruits are medium-large, very firm, with a glossy, deep red surface. Resistant to Red Stele Root Rot, Wilt, Leaf Scorch and Leaf Spot. Partic- ularly well suited for the Eastern and Central states.

30095 SPARKLE. This extra-late variety yields huge, glistening fine berries after all other varieties are gone. Ripens 16 days after Earliglow. Plants are medium size, vigorous and productive. Fruit is large and a rich red in color.


30080 JEWEL. If you’re looking for big berry size and mouth- watering flavor, look no further. Berries are very large, glossy, bright red and taste like a million. Big yielder is easy to pick. Sturdy plants are very hardy. U-Pick operations love this one, and so will home gardeners. Ripens main season.

30020 FT. LARAMIE. Our most productive Ever- bearer is also our most disease resistant. Bears a heavy, very early crop of medium-sized deep red fruit about 10 days earlier than Ozark Beauty. Good disease resistance.


30030 OZARK BEAUTY. Our most popular Everbearer yields from late spring till frost. Adapt- ed to all areas of the country. Tops in berry size and fruit production. Fruit is firm, glossy red and wedge- shaped.

JOSTABERRY.


30255 EXTRA HARDY. A cross between a currant and a gooseberry, it is hardy to 40° below zero! Glossy black ber- ries are much larger than cur- rants, sky high in Vitamin C, and begin yielding in early July of its second season. Tolerates or is immune to most insects and diseases. Does well in most soils with little need of fertilizer. Self- pollinating. Zones 3-8. $10.95 each; 2 for $19.95; 5 for $40.95.
