HYBRID SWEET CORN
Plant seed in no fewer than 4 rows side-by-side to ensure good pol- lination. Plant rows 2-1/2 to 3 ft. apart, spacing about 5 in. apart. Thin early varieties to 10 in. apart, later varieties to 18 in. apart. Get a quicker start in cold soils by boosting the moisture content just be- fore sowing. Soak seeds in distilled water at 77° for 16 hours, then dry at room temperature for 8 hours. Immediately plant! One-half pound plants about 200 ft. of row.

03907 EARLIVEE (su). Our earliest 14 row su sweet corn with ear size substantially larger than Early Sunglow. Replaces Polarvee due to it's larger 8 in. ear size, bright yellow kernels and improved eating quality. Developed in Canada at a breeding station where they really know about early sweet corns. No other extra-early su corn matches the size of this one. Grows well in short-season areas where many common varieties won't ma- ture. If you garden in an area where cool temperatures often present a prob- lem for sweet corn, or just want good eating earlier in the season, this is the one to plant. 67 days. (A) Pkt. (1 oz.) $2.55; 2 pkts. $4.25; (N) 1/2 lb. $9.95; (P) 1 lb. $17.95; (P) 4 lb. $61.95.

53020(X) COMPLETE SEEDER PACKAGE Everlasting Heritage Series
A breakthrough in breeding! Trial evaluations have confirmed that the E.H. family is one of the tenderest, sweetest and best eating corns yet developed. The E.H. stands for everlasting heritage genes. The E.H. gene gives the corn a super-high natural sugar content which makes it hold longer before and after picking (10 to 14 days). E.H. family members can and freeze very well and have great "corn flavor.”
03928 KANDY KING E.H. Same outstanding characteristics as Kandy Korn, but about 10 days earlier. Ears are 8-1/2 in. long with 12 to 16 rows of kernels. Pink silks and 6 to 7 ft. stalks. Very tender. Slow conversion to starch means you can postpone canning or freezing up to 10 to 12 days without loss of sweetness. Yellow type. 73 days. (A) Pkt. (1 oz.) $2.55; 2 pkts. $4.25; (N) 1/2 lb. $9.95; (P) 1 lb. $17.95; (P) 4 lb. $61.95.
