Netplan began life when Gibson started working out of his bedroom in 1998. “I was writing database software for my father’s insulation company and built one of the first websites in the early days post .bomb,” he recalls.


“In those days everyone was going crazy signing up domain names thinking they were going to be rich out of registering the most obscure names. Some of our very early customers actually did, but most did not unfortunately. From there we progressed into hosting.”
