Advantex in Mitel award
Denise Smith Customer Service Loves Dancing
NEW orders worth £1m and the appointment of a new senior management team have helped to secure Advantex Network Solutions Authorised Partner status from Mitel.
The key appointment of former Executel rising star Andy Shannon as Head of Communications plus a big investment in staff training also helped to seal the deal, along with a proven ability to design and deliver IT infrastructures that are based on Mitel’s IP communications.
As an Authorised Partner, Advantex’ portfolio of solutions expands with voice, video and datacoms platforms, plus appli- cations for CRM and mobility. Stephen O’Connell, the Dir- ector of Sales and Marketing at Advantex, commented: “Being recognised as an Authorised Partner is a great achievement. “It is also testament to our commitment to deliver qual- ity services and solutions, and invest in a highly skilled work- force to meet our customers’ expectations.”

LAUREN Bolton from Chess’ Corporate Service team has won the fi rm’s Apprentice competition which took place throughout National Customer Service Week. She produced a business plan called ‘PIMP my ISDN30’ which proposes to give all ISDN30 customers Care Level 4 for free, allowing Chess to resolve faults quicker and deliver a better level of service. Bolton’s plan is becoming a reality and is currently being implemented. Chief Executive David Pollock commented: “The Chess Apprentice was great fun, but importantly was a fantastic exercise in producing some exceptional ideas on how to improve customer service in the future. We were so impressed by the proposals that almost all are being put into practice.”
