NEC packs a punch with pricedrop plan

the SL1100 our focus was on making it easy to train, easy to install and easy to sell.

“Our Knockout campaign will make the product easier to sell. This will enable NEC resellers to provide competitive quotes, win more business and give their competitors a run for their money.”

Andrew Cooper

AS PART of NEC’s SL1100 telephone system Knockout Campaign the vendor has intro- duced a 55% promotional reduc-

tion on the KSU to all resellers in the small business league. NEC Sales Director Andrew Cooper said: “At the launch of

NEC claims that the offer will have particular appeal to cash-strapped start-up business- es that are looking to invest in a phone system while keeping costs down. “Starting a business can be a financial strain, espe- cially in the current climate. Natterbox fi nds its mobile voice

NATTERBOX, a provider of supercharged voice services, has launched a cloud-based ser- vice specifically designed for mobile devices.

The service, called Voice Anywhere Mobile Branch Exchange (MBX), does not require landline phones as it has the functionality of a landline phone on a mobile device.

Neil Hammerton, who is the CEO of Natterbox, comment- ed: “Voice Anywhere MBX removes the restrictions of desk-bound, office-based land- line phones to maximise mobile workforce efficiency.

“Our lives are mobile. Remote working is not a new concept however mobiles have been somewhat out of sync and

separate from the office com- munications flow.”

According to Hammerton, MBX works on two levels because it frees ‘voice’ from the office and it improves the visibility and connectivity of conversations.

“The customer experience and business operations are instantly improved,” he claims.

CIF accredits four players in cloud

FOUR members of the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) and one non-member are the first to gain certifications to the Cloud Service Provider Code of Practice, established by the CIF to promote best practices within the sector.

ChannelCloud UK/Ireland, Rise, Unit4 and Webroot, all members of CIF, as well as NexusAB are the first to be for- mally recognised by the Code of Practice which enables par- ticipating vendors to promote online confidence, transparency

and trust in their brand to the end user community.

By achieving Certification the Cloud Service Provider enables the end user to have confidence that they can access relevant and meaningful infor- mation in a structured way that has been accepted by the Cloud Industry Forum to enable ratio- nal assessment.

Andy Burton, Chairman for the Cloud Industry Forum, said: “It is a great testimony to the professional commitment of these companies to operate in

a transparent and accountable manner, measuring themselves against an industry Code of Practice that enables potential customers to make rational and informed decisions on their selection of service providers. “It is important that serious cloud vendors are able to dem- onstrate to their end customers the independent validation of their commitment to a quality cloud experience.”

Frank Jennings, Chairman of the CIF Governance Board, added: “Certification to the

Code of Practice will help cloud service providers differentiate themselves in the market by demonstrating that they have assessed their resources and capability to deliver a secure and robust cloud solution. “Certification will also increase confidence for a busi- ness to have a better chance of maximising benefit and reduc- ing risk in their selection of cloud applications.”
