bushcraft What’s it all about?


New for 2012, this 7 night holiday is all about surviving and thriving in the great outdoors! You’ll learn new skills and be given the knowledge of Bushcraft that has dated back centuries and still practised around the world today.


Instructed by a Bushcraft instructor, you’ll learn how to use the environment around you to build shelters, fi nd food and keep warm. At the end of the holiday, there’ll also be a chance to show everything you’ve learnt and to obtain the PGL Survival Skills Award.


What will I learn?


During the week you will be taught a variety of Bushcraft skills and techniques. These will include everything from locating and using the materials around you to build a shelter, collecting fi rewood and preparing a fi re, sourcing and identifying food through to additional skills like water collection and fi ltration.


You’ll also get to build and camp out in your own shelter and learn everything you need to know about how to survive in the wild!


Can I do other activities as well? Yes, every day you’ll complete a half day of Bushcraft then go on to enjoy a half day of exciting activities from our multi activity programme.


Do I need any experience? No, our Bushcraft instructor will show and teach you everything you need to know.


Do I need any specialist equipment? No, everything will be provided for you.
