3. NATURAL NEW ORLEANS & JAZZHERITAGE Learn about New Orleans’ unique geological environment at a presentation by an environmental expert. Meet with volunteers and community organizers on a Tauck Exclusive field trip to the Lower Ninth Ward, making a remarkable post-Katrina recovery. Visit New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, and choose from among several legendary French Quarter restaurants for dinner. Meals BD


4. ACADIANA AT VERMILIONVILLE ON THE BAYOU Head out along the Mississippi to “Cajun Country” for a private “Bal de Maison” house party with a home-style porch lunch, Acadian music, storytelling and fun. Step back in time on a guided visit to Vermilionville, recreating Acadian and Creole life circa 1765 to 1890. Dig into a traditional Cajun dinner in Breaux Bridge, and spend the next two nights in the heart of French Louisiana. Meals BLD


5. SHADOWS-ON-THE-TECHE & AVERY ISLAND Continue your discovery of Cajun culture with a stop at the Jean Lafitte Acadian Cultural Center in Lafayette, then pay a guided visit to Shadows-on-the-Teche, a restored pre-Civil War town home. Travel to Avery Island, a lush salt dome “island” surrounded by bayous, and tour its famous McIlhenny TABASCO® Sauce plant. Meals BLD
