2. RED ROCKS & THE AMAZING GRAND CANYON Visit the picturesque town of Sedona, surrounded by towering red-rock formations with names like Coffeepot, Cathedral and Thunder Mountain. The scenery you’ll see around here is awe-inspiring, but nothing compares to the Grand Canyon. Spend the night near the rim of the canyon in Grand Canyon National Park; you will be able to enjoy nature’s masterpiece after the day’s crowds depart – sure to be a highlight of your family’s stay here. 3. THE GRAND CANYON TO LAKE POWELL Get up before the sun does and join us for a sunrise hike along the rim of the canyon; the locals are already awake so keep your eyes peeled for mule deer and squirrels in the cactus-studded landscape. Drive over to the East Rim as you depart the Grand Canyon this afternoon en route to Page, Arizona; we’ll stop along the way to show you different perspectives of the canyon from a variety of look-out points. Man-made Lake Powell in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area is your destination for the next two nights; your resort accommodations are the perfect gateway for a lot of lakeside diversions and watersport activities.
