Wow 2010 was a busy year! For the last 6 months we’ve focused on our bringing our website up to date (more details on pages 12-13).
For a small team it’s been a lot of extra work but we really hope that the increased level of service it brings is worth it.
We’ve also been experimenting with our interactive content and while there’s still a lot more that we can do, we haven’t yet found a way of doing this online that gives us the right building blocks for where we want to go over the next few years. Technology is moving so fast but the way in which some companies are choosing to do business, is also changing. Social networks have added a radical new direction to the way in which we interact socially. Sllightly less slowly (at least if you live outside Silicon Valley!) they are also changing the face of business and I believe the face of publishing too. And it’s this combination that is so exciting. Unfortunately unless you’re the godchild of Rupert Murdoch (click here to read about his latest publishing venture due to launch Jan ‘11) or Richard Branson (click here for more info) us mere mortals will have to work out how to ‘socially’ publish without the kind of money to invest that these guys have. 2011 will certainly be exciting! Happy New Year.
