Happy Birthday Kosibah Designs

Designer Yemi Osunkoya – the man behind the Kosibah label (see Top 10 Male Fashion Designers, p39-59) – received a standing ovation at his 20th

anniversary party held at the Institute of Directors, London, for the stunning, bespoke African princess gowns that he has been designing for two decades. The event attracted scores of past blushing brides and endless celebrity clients. Osunkoya specialises in contemporary and elegant couture bridal, evening and formal day wear, using luxurious fabrics and sumptuous embellishments. His signa- ture use of corsetry and boned bodices cleverly recreates the classical and elegant hourglass figure, producing gowns that curve, shape and flatter. Hosted by former Bond girl Diana Dahlia, the evening allowed all to thank Osunkoya for his amazing service as an award-winning designer and making their dreams come true on their special day.
