Commendation from Chief of Defence Materiel
The BATCIS Experimentation, Research and Operational Support Team, including team members from General Dynamics UK, received a commendation from the Chief of Defence Materiel (CDM) for its work on developing and delivering the most recent version of Bowman to the UK’s Armed Forces.
CDM commendations recognise achievements of outstanding merit that go beyond normal performance and expectations and which deserve senior management and public recognition. Since 2008, the joint MoD and General Dynamics UK team has worked in direct support of Headquarters 1st (United Kingdom) Armoured Division in its role as the lead formation for tactical data experimentation.
Together they set the conditions for the
Headquarters to develop and exploit the Digitized Headquarters concept, which included disseminating any lessons learned to the broader Land Environment.
