Sunlight Research Forum is encouraging tanning prior to holidays and say that building a base tan three to four weeks before a holiday is an effective way of preventing sunburn.
“The three to four weeks running up to a beach holiday should be used to build up the light callous layer and increase melanin production,” explains Ad Brand, head of the Sunlight Research Forum, a not-for-profit group based in The Netherlands which promotes the benefit of regular, moderate sun exposure.
“Sudden over exposure to UV radiation without preparation can cause sunburn and increases the risk of developing skin cancer,” he warns.
If it looks natural So unreal it’s true
The Beauty Boutique Academy have introduced Unreal Sunless Tanning to Ireland.
Unreal Tan solution features Advanced Seasonal Technology, which is a fusion within the solutions allowing the hydration system to adapt to the seasons, ensuring year-round natural colour.
The tan uses organic ECOCERT DHA, which contains no parabens, no artificial fragrances or colours and no alcohol.
Unreal Rapid Tan is also available, which can be washed off between two to four hours depending on the colour depth required.
The Beauty Boutique: 01 503 5351 Ready to remove
Gently remove leftover sunless tan using the new SunFX Tan Remover Crème.
The crème utilises natural based ingredients including bamboo extracts to gently remove the remnants of a fading spray or self-tan. Bamboo Extract is a natural, gentle exfoliant that polishes and smoothes the outer layer of the skin, leaving it fresh and vibrant.
On many skin types, spray tans or self-applied tans can become patchy as they wear if not cared for our nourished properly. This remaining tan can easily be removed by the Tan Remover Crème when massaged onto the area and left for one minute.
