Ms. Esposito is one of three new additions at the center, the practice of Dr. Jason M Belejack, ND, including massage therapist, Deborah McMahon, LMT, and green living consultant, Kristy Belejack, CGLC. Her offerings include Reiki classes and sessions, aura clearing and chakra balancing, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), guided meditations, Angelspeake™, and more. Soup Kitchen Supping Event Aims to End Hunger

ood Day is an event seek- ing to unite Americans from all walks of life—parents,


teachers, students, health profes- sionals, community organizers, local officials, chefs, school lunch providers, and eaters of all stripes—to push for healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable, humane way. As part of this celebration, The Downtown Evening Soup


Kitchen (DESK) will host Dine to End Hunger on Saturday, October 22. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for those wanting to learn more about, and support, this local orga- nization, experiencing it as soup kitchen guests do daily. Attendees will learn how

DESK operates, eating a freshly cooked community meal with food donated by local farmers and vendors. Q&A with Executive Director Diana M. Richter is included. Tickets are $10 (at the door) with proceeds benefiting DESK (and its mission to provide free, nutritious meals for homeless individuals, fami- lies, and the working and non-working poor of Greater New Haven) and FISH of Greater New Haven (a volunteer organization offering delivered grocery service to help local citizens in crisis, including the sick, elderly, disabled and families lacking transportation to soup kitchens). Dinner will be followed by a free movie about food. The public is invited to participate in either or both events.
