Leading glossy Irish Tatler announced the winners of its coveted annual Spa Awards earlier this Summer, selecting the best Spas Ireland has to offer.


Awards were decided by a panel of beauty writers as well as Irish Tatler readers, who chose the Spa Salveo at Knockranny House Hotel as their ‘Readers Choice’.


The Health Spa at Radisson Blu Farnham Estate was named Best Hotel Spa, whilst Wexford’s Monart Destination Spa was awarded Best Destination Spa for the third year running.


Best Spa Treatment was the Inchdoney Sunshine Experience, featuring a Lemon, Orange and Lychee Body Scrub and Orange, Apricot Body Wrap offered at the Island Spa at the Inchdoney Ldoge and Spa, Co. Cork.


Lyrath Estate and Spa in Co. Kilkenny won Best Facial for the Kerstin Floran Antioxidant Vitamin C Facial, whilst Best Body Treatment was presented to ESPA


at the g Hotel in Co. Galway for the ESPA Chakra Balancing Treatment with Hot Stones.


Five-star Wellness Spa at the Castlemartyr Resprt in Co. Cork was awarded Best Style for its contemporary elegant design and cutting edge technology, whilst the award for Innovation went to the Delphi Mountain Resort in Co. Galway for their combination treatments using Éminence products. Best Service was awarded to Solis Spa at Lough Eske Castle in Co. Donegal.


Michellen Kelleher from Cloisters Spa at Muckross Park Hotel, who has created her own signature body scrub for use in the Spa, was named Best Therapist. Elaine Armstrong of the Ice House Spa Hotel and Janine McMaster at the Culloden Estate and Spa were Highly Commended.


The Awards were presented at a luncheon at Dublin’s Westin Hotel.

care products Espace Henri Chenot, Palace Merano – the Italian destination Spa founded by health expert Henri Chenot – is to launch a new range of skin care products this month. Derived from vegetative sources to help prevent the ageing process, the products have been produced in Chenot’s Biontology Laboratory at the Spa and wellness centre.


It follows the completion of a four-year renovation at Espace Henri Chenot, Palace Merano, which has seen the complete overhaul of guest rooms and suites and outdoor pool.

Voyage Hotels has launched its newest hotel located close to Colin Montgomerie- designed golf course in Belek, Turkey. The MAXX Royal Golf & Spa boasts 280 bedrooms and suites and 16 luxury villas, as well as a large, luxury Spa and wellness centre.

Facilities at the Spa include Turkish baths, treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Spa pool and a relaxation area. Other leisure facilities at the hotel include a large waterpark and a number of restaurants.
