Dear Irish Beauty magazine, Star Letter
I have always tried hard to run an ethical salon that uses products that care about the environment and are not tested on animals.
I have managed to find vegan nail products and have a lovely range of organic skin care products which my clients just love and which produce really stunning results, but I had always kept well clear of tanning. I don’t agree with sunbeds and I thought that spray tanning wouldn’t fit in with the ethics of my business. So I was delighted to see your article on Organic Tanning Products (From Orange to Green, IB July/Aug issue).
I have lots of clients who are concerned about chemicals in products, and it was really interesting to see the variety of organic and natural tanning products that are available. I plan to discuss this with clients and if their response is positive, take it a step further and contact the companies in your article.

I was very inspired by your last issue which focussed on spray tanning (The 3D Revolution, IB July/Aug). I never really realised the different aspects to spray tanning and how I could maximise it in my salon. I’ve been offering spray tanning for a couple of years but hadn’t thought about how I could jazz up my treatments! The article about spraying six packs onto male clients was a real eye-opener! Now I just need some male volunteers to practice on!
