Monica Tolan’s Beauty and Skincare Specialists played host to a fantastic night in the Bracken Court Hotel in June. Hundreds of ladies arrived on the night to learn more about the latest news in anti-ageing now available at the salon.


The night was organised to celebrate the launch of a brand new anti-ageing treatment called CST (Collagen Stimulating Therapy) also referred to as skin needling.


Esteemed business lady and Environ devotee Celia Holman Lee was present on the night to share her experience with CST and Environ. Jenny Brenan and Tina Newman from the iiaa were also there carrying out skin analysis and discussing skin issues on the night.

Awards for Ireland


The iiaa recently held its annual Salon of the Year Awards, attended by leading stockists from Ireland and the UK, at the prestigious Claridges Hotel in London.


Guests enjoyed afternoon tea while the trophies and certificates were presented to the most successful stockists of the Jane Iredale and Environ brands. iiaa training director Tracy Tamaris presented the Environ Salon of the Year Ireland Award to Skin from Clontarf, Co. Dublin, while runner-up awards went to Medi Cspa from Ennis, Co. Clare and Wards Pharmacy from Longford.

Mineral make-up pioneer and range founder Jane Iredale presented the awards to the top selling stockists of her range. The winner from Ireland was Papilio from Armagh.


The runner-up awards went to Ward’s Pharmacy, their second accolade at the event, and Aisling Beauty from Thurles, Co. Tipperary.


Launch is a success


Dr. Danne King and Tommy Parson headed to Ireland recently to launch DMK Cosmetics, at the Radisson Hotel outside Dublin.


Tommy and Danne took to the podium and worked together to bridge the gap between DMK and DMKC. Utilising local models, Tommy demonstrated the various uses for DMKC by offering complete coverage and even concealed a tattoo.


Also in attendance were many of the European distributors from Sweden, Norway, Spain, Finland, Poland and Germany.

Dr Aguirre explained that it is a condition that requires a change of attitude as well as further research into its development and treatment.


Attendees had the chance to ask questions, as well as experience a tour of the training facilities on offers at the brand new headquarters of the IDI.


Busy bees!


The International Dermal Institute (IDI) recently hosted a networking evening, known as a Beehive, featuring Claudia C. Aguirre, Ph.D, the Scientifi c Communications Manager for both the IDI and Dermalogica.


The free of charge event offered professional skin therapists the chance to hear the latest research on the biology of cellulite and the latest treatments and technologies available.
