A MILD AND CALM race wasn’t getting it done for Brad Keselowski in the Kroger 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway. T e defending Nationwide

Series champion needed a bit of mayhem, and he got just that late in the race and earned his second win of the season. T e Penske Racing driver wasn’t

a factor through the middle portion of the race, but he jumped ahead of Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on a green-white- checkered restart and took the win. “I’ve been coming to this race

track for years,” Keselowski said. “I’ve been to victory lane as a team guy and a mechanic, but never a driver. It’s so special to win here.” James Buescher fi nished second, and Stenhouse moved to the top

of the point standings with a third- place fi nish. Aric Almirola and Carl Edwards rounded out the top fi ve. After a mild start, the action

heated up when Michael Annett and Tim Andrews tangled and hit the wall in Turn 3. After their cars had spun to a stop, the car of Steve Wallace came in sideways at speed and slammed both stalled cars. On the ensuing pit stops,

Edwards, who appeared as if he could challenge for the victory, was caught speeding while trying to beat Stenhouse off pit road. Seven laps after the lap 183

restart, Trevor Bayne, who was running second, brought out another caution after blowing a motor. Just as the race was about to go green with seven laps to go, Justin

Allgaier’s car caught fi re. He pulled off the track, and the restart was aborted. Keselowski found himself lined

up with race leader Stenhouse on the restart, but another quick caution on lap 199 pushed the race into overtime. Keselowski managed to pull away and take the victory.
