www.mitsubishiaircon.co.uk Fulton commits to R&D
Fulton has introduced a number of energy saving products to its range.
Based on its existing on/off
burner, Fulton’s new modulating burner uses a linkageless burner management system to operate two modulating actuators. One regulating the flow of gas and the other adjusting air flow to ensure that optimum combustion is possible across the full firing range of the boiler. Initial results from a Cardiff University trial indicate significant reductions in gas consumption, with further savings being made on electricity. Thanks to the modulation of the burners, the boiler is also more efficient as steam pressure is kept at a more consistent rate. Fulton’s ModSync sequencing system for multiple steam and
hot water boiler installations is designed to maximise the efficiency of multiple boiler installations by providing precise pressure control of the steam system using a pressure transducer installed in the steam header. It is also capable of precise temperature control and lead/lag sequencing on hot water boiler systems. An integrated setback schedule also allows the boiler system setpoint to be configured based on the boiler’s current status, which allows the setpoint to be lowered during periods when steam load is reduced.

Vent-Axia has recently added the Kinetic E to its popular range of Sentinel Kinetic mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) solutions. Part of the company’s innovative Lo Carbon initiative, this is the latest product development for the residential market and cements its position as the UK’s industry leader in low carbon HEVAC systems. The lightweight and compact Kinetic E is a whole house heat recovery system with 91% energy efficiency. The Kinetic E, as with the rest of the Sentinel Kinetic range, is a SAP Appendix Q listed ventilation solution that combines supply and extract ventilation in one unit. Warm, moist air is extracted from wet rooms through ducting and passed through the heat exchanger before being exhausted to the outside. Fresh incoming air is preheated via the integral heat exchanger which recovers up to 91% of the heat energy that would otherwise be wasted. The unit’s energy saving Vent- Axia Lo-Carbon DC motors further improve its efficiency and carbon reducing capabilities. In addition, heat recovery ventilation reduces excessive moisture in the air, combating condensation and subsequent mould growth, saving money on maintenance and decoration in the long and short-term.
