that all the flowers be white. There was going to be so much color in the room I wanted the crispness and contrast of the white flowers. Richard showed me these amazing bling spheres and I fell in love, we incorporated these into the ceremony and centerpieces. It was stunning and brought to life the Old Hollywood style that we wanted, with just the perfect touch of sparkle. The entire room sparkled and reflected off the mirrored table tops which tied everything together from the save the dates to the invitations— exactly what I wanted. To finish the look, we debuted our oversized mirrored menu cards and illuminated table numbers from my new Tiffany

Invitation line by Natural Impressions. The tables sparkled with mirror, bling, and candlelight. It was the epitome of Old Hollywood Glam that I was looking for.

Loving my linens For linens, I wanted a dark dramatic color. We chose to go with midnight blue as the color. Using a mix of square and royal tables, I wanted contemporary clean lines, along with a great texture and sheen, and a box linen for the square tables. And a fluffy romantic (yet not girlie) ruffle linen in midnight blue with silver sequin border at the top for the royal tables. For an interesting seating option, instead of typical chiavari chairs, we used sofa seating and chameleon chairs to give a comfy luxe feel to the room, all covered in lush black velvet. It was stunning.

Menu Masterpiece I knew people would expect a culinary master- piece for a plated meal from me. Well, expect the unexpected was my thought through the whole planning process. I wanted something that showcased our backgrounds and our culinary

favorites. We chose active stations over plated. A Sumptuous Southern station for John, my country boy, that had Southern fried Chicken and waffles, Biscuits & Anduille Sausage Gravy, Shrimp and Grits, & Crawfish Etouffe. My station was Manhattan Chic for this New York native with Braised Short Rib & Creamy Polenta, and Miso Glazed Sea Bass with Bok Choy. We revealed the two stations at different times, almost like serving them as courses and danced

between reveals. For dessert we threw in a curve ball and served an abundance of Parisien Pastries to tie in our Paris proposal. This was served in our after party with the viewing of our French film ―Meet Me in Trocadero‖ a silent film that told the story of our proposal (by the amazing Utopia Video Productions). Our guests loved the mix of food choices and ambiance. Not to mention the amazing wedding cake created by Pastrie Chef Yannis of the Fontainebleau and our Red Velvet wedding minis that each guest got to take with them, a gift from Laura of Devine Delicacies.
