LATEST NEWS...
It’s been a great month for F Class! Since our last issue, we’ve had three major F Class shoots – four if you include the Bisley Imperial shoot!
We had the GBFCA League Shoot at Bisley - the Long Range one – back to 1200 yards with a 308? Scarey! You can read all about that in Les Holgate’s Long View column . Next month, we’ll feature the Scottish- American match at Blair Atholl and the F Class element of the Bisley Imperial.
The really big event however was the Creedmoor Match at the new Tullamore rifle range in Ireland. This was billed as a ‘return match’ between the Irish and the Americans – the last one being held at Creedmoor, Long Island New York in the eighteen- seventies! Although it was an Irish-American affair, there was also an all-comers match for shooters of any nationality and a team match – Europe versus
Laurie Holland and his 223 at 1100 yards at Blair Atholl
We didn’t want to saturate you with too much F Class stuff so we decided to retain the Tullamore, Imperial and Blair reports for our September issue but, there is one more F Class thing I must mention – our new website.
After limping along with a Freewebs site for the last five years, we’ve now gone all professional with a new site designed by Steve Thornton of Thornton Connect
www.thorntonconnect.com Be sure to have a look at the new site at
www.gbfclass.co.uk and let us know what you think – you can even click onto the latest edition of Target Shooter! Please note the new web address – it is slightly different so make sure you ‘bookmark’ it. Incidentally, web designer Steve Thornton is also an F Class shooter and he is responsible for the NEW Target Shooter Magazine image. If you have a tired old website, why not let Steve give it the treatment?

America – like the Ryder Cup but with rifles instead of golf-clubs!
Finally, after Tullamore, the Americans were invited to shoot against the Scots at Blair Atholl and our very own Laurie Holland was there, doing incredible things with his 223 F/TR rifle.
