The Warne Rapid-Acquisition Multi-Sight Platform I must confess, I’ve never been a fan of the vertically-split rings that typify Warne’s approach to scope-mounting. But, I’ve always admired the quality of their components. This latest ‘platform’ from Warne nicely addresses my concern, the rings being horizontally split. It’s really designed for the AR15-type rifle and clamps over an existing Picatinny-style base. It’s a robust bit of kit as you can see from the photograph and although made of 6000 series aircraft- grade aluminium, it weighs just over nine ounces. The smaller Pic rails set at 45 degrees – which can be positioned at the front or rear - allow for the mounting of a red dot sight, lamp or what have you. The Lee Press Stand First off, this great idea from Lee – a reloading stand. This is a three- legged all-steel stand which serves as a sturdy mount for your press. It’s a great alternative if you just haven’t got anywhere to build a really strong reloading bench. Yes, you could mount your press on a ‘Workmate’ but, the first time you pull the handle you’ll have it over.

Lyman’s Ultrasonic Case Cleaner from Hannam’s. It’ll do a couple of hundred rifle cases (depending on cartridge) in about ten minutes, cleaning them inside and out. If you have a black-powder pistol, you could also do gun parts.

The Lee stand is designed to resist the force of operating your press and it has provision for hanging a concrete building-block to the underside to make it really solid. If you live in a flat or very small house, this could be the answer. It comes ‘flat-pack’ for easy assembly.

PRODUCT Reviews

New stuff from Hannam’s Reloading I called in at Hannam’s Reloading the other day and picked up a few bits and pieces that I thought were useful.
