Weir Oil & Gas hosts customers at world’s largest offshore development event
Offshore energy industry experts from around the globe came to Houston in
May for the world’s largest event for offshore resources development. Weir Oil & Gas was there to meet them. Attendance at the 2011 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) reached a 29-year high of nearly 80,000 attendees. The division hosted customers and potential
recruits. Key messaging, product displays and information underlined the division’s strategic focus on the customer in all aspects of its business. Four customer-driven product innovations were displayed including the SPM® Destiny™ TWS 2500 Frac Pump. An entire wall was devoted to a global map that marked the division’s service centres around the world to enable a quick customer response. Additionally, the Oil & Gas Forum was
featured to demonstrate collaboration with Weir Minerals and Weir Power & Industrial to introduce proven products that can meet the needs of the oil and gas customer. “OTC is a prominent industry forum. It was an impressive and productive setting for investors and customers to learn more about our services and products,” said Bill Tipton, Divisional Vice President, Business
Development. “Our brand messaging was strong, we had a highly integrated marketing initiative to attract interest to our booth, and we are confi dent that Weir Oil & Gas made a positive impression. exhibition in Grand Prairie, Alberta. Products on display included a truck & rental trailer fi lled with SPM Flow Line Safety Restraint System (FSR) components and a cross sectional view of a fl uid end that showcased Weir’s repair capabilities. The event was a great success with continual traffi c and many key customers visiting the exhibit.
Busy tradeshow schedule for Weir Minerals North America reaps benefi ts
Weir Minerals North America has been on the road, taking the Weir
message of excellence and customer focus all over North America. June concluded a busy schedule of 11 tradeshows from Georgia to Ontario. The exhibits clearly identifi ed Weir’s brands and the process equipment displays were well received by delegates at all shows. People from all over the business - sales, product managers, engineers, and senior management took advantage of the opportunity to schedule meetings and connect with both current
and potential customers.
The overall goal of the tradeshow schedule is to effectively represent all
brands that are relevant to each exhibi- tion’s specifi c market and promote Weir’s service and product expertise.
