In response to likely budget cuts to its youth service and due to the increasing number of under 18’s (38% of the population), the Southwater Youth Project encouraged young people to take the lead in investigating the value and worth of a number of new initiatives to reach out to more children and young people within the parish.
The Caterham Community Distribution Network is a community leaflet distribution initiative, which generates funds for local projects to develop. The distribution is carried out purely by volunteers from several existing town networks who also collaborate via social networking to build a better informed and innovative town.
