Chill out at Spa of the Year


The Chill Out Day Spa in Knowsley Park, Liverpool has been namedThalgo Spa of theYear, at themarine beauty brand’s annual Platinumand Gold Spa Awards ceremony.


Amber Ball fromSerenity Health& Beauty in Poynton, Cheshire was named Therapist of theYear. Both win a trip for two toThalgo’s flagship Urban Spa, VillaThalgo in Paris, with two nights stay, products and specialist training.


The Platinumand GoldAwards were awarded to salons and Spas which had reached this prestigious status, and were presented by England cricket star Freddie Flintoff and his wife Rachael.

RAFwives enjoy Spa treat


Wives, girlfriends and partners ofmembers of North Yorkshire RAF andArmy servicemen based at Linton-on- Ouse were recently invited to theAldwarkManor Golf and Spa Hotel inYorkshire to enjoy a day of pampering.


Set in theYorkshireMoors, staff at the Spa invited the women, whose partners are away on operational duties, to enjoy a luxurious day featuring amake-up workshop with Spa therapist StephanieMurray.


DuringWorldWar II, the hotel was the base for Royal CanadianAir Force crews from426 (Thunderbird) Squadron, and so has an affinity with the RAF.

Spa opens after £5million hotel investment


TheMacdonald Inchyra Hotel&Spa in Falkirk has completed its £5million refurbishment, which features a state-of-the-art Spa and leisure facility.


New Spa facilities include eight SpaTreatment Rooms, Rasulmud therapy roomand relaxation lounge, 20- metre swimming pool, scented SteamRoom, Rock Sauna, Experience Showers and Ice Fountain.
