Another successful year for leading therapy exhibition


Therapists passionate about learning new skills and refreshing their existing knowledge flocked to this year’sHolisticHealth exhibition, held in partnership with the Federation ofHolistic Therapists.


As well as an exhibition of the leading providers to the complementary therapy field, visitors enjoyed a comprehensiveTraining Congress, put together by the FHT, as well as demonstrations of new products and therapy techniques fromover 100 exhibitors.


Now in its seventh year, Holistic Health 2011 was held inMay alongside established beauty trade exhibition BeautyUK at the NEC Birmingham, and the two events attracted a combined attendance of approaching 21,000 trade visitors.


As part of the exhibition, Guild Press once again held the annual Chill Out Zone, where volunteer therapists offered taster treatments of complementary therapies with allmonies raised donated to charity.This year’s nominated charity - Coping with Cancer in Leicestershire and Rutland - were presented with a cheque for £3,400 raised by exhibition visitors and therapists offering treatments such as Reiki, Indian HeadMassage and CraniosacralTherapy plus new and innovative therapies includingThe Form- Reality Practice and Reference PointTherapy.


Speakers at the FHT’sAnnualTraining Congress included Penny Price, GillMorris and Bharti Vyas covering topics including Pregnancy and Aromatherapy, Reflexology,Myofascial Release and business advice. Seminars were well attended and very well received.


For the second year the event hosted a Demonstration Stage which enabled visitors to watch demos of new products such asMassage Shoes andTherapyTables and techniques including CrystalWand Healing, Cupping Therapy andYoga amongstmany others.
