Discop.The company is launching the 7x1hr documentary series for Central and Eastern European broadcasters and has high hopes for it in the region. The show centres on a member of the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF).“We follow Olivia, a young environmental activist,ambassador of the International Fund for Animal Welfare and member of the WWF as she travels the world searching for exceptional women and men who devote their lives to rescuing young orphaned animals,”says head of distribution and acquisitions Céline Payot. The show will cover bear cubs in Russia, koala bears in Australia and gorillas in Congo. Wild Orphans,which was produced by One Planet,was commissioned by France Televisions and has already been picked up by broadcasters including Russian pay TV net- work First HD TV.

the Bright Hands Pictures-produced series, will be launching the series at Discop and hopes to attract a raft of CEE buyers. The show claims that one in four adults in the UK is unable to remember how they got home from a night out so the series looks to shine a light on this national
blackout.The show aired on Current TV in the UK. Hannah Worrall,director of sales at Target
Entertainment,says that it has been well received with broadcasters in Southern Europe and networks in Eastern Europe,Scandinavia and Australia are all keen to produce local ver- sions of the
