COMMS PEOPLE 4Com gets Sargood

JOHN Sargood has joined 4Com Channel Partners as National Distribution Sales Manager. With over 20 years industry experience under his belt he will leverage his expertise to manage 4Com’s existing partnerships and develop new reseller relationships. Sargood has held positions within several companies in the comms industry including Datasharp, East Central and Daisy Telecoms. 4Com hasn’t sold to end users under its own brand since 2010 having switched its focus to the distribution of telephone equipment and the development of hardware and software. Sargood commented: “I am excited at the prospect of working with 4Com because although the brand is well known the role still raises its own challenges. 4com has been successful as a reseller and therefore I believe resellers still see us as competition. That’s not the case. We are now channel-only and we want to develop new relationships.”

4Com is an authorised distributor of Toshiba and Samsung products and offers exclusive manufacturer branded universal leasing documents designed to improve leasing figures for resellers by allowing them to use a universal document that is accepted by virtually all of the main primary funders.

Nine celebrates a record quarter

NINE Telecom marked a record Q1 with a Wild West themed evening organised by the billing team. Every quarter Nine Telecom staff are treated to a night out in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Matthew Lambert, MD of Nine Telecom, commented: “The event gives me an opportunity to brief the company on our financial results at the end of each quarter, set the strategy for the coming quarter and ensure we are aligned with the Nine Telecom Group objectives. It also allows us to welcome on board any new starters, reward our employee of the month as nominated by the rest of the staff, and provide an open forum for staff to ask questions and provide really useful feedback on what is working and what we can do better moving forward.”
