With rapids, flumes, cannons, a pirate ship, a volcano, bubblers and a lazy river, Coral Reef Waterworld is a fun, exciting and busy leisure pool which has recently achieved the Customer Service Excellence award.


As a Duty Manager you’ll ensure the smooth running of the facility on a daily basis and have responsibility for staff supervision. You will be expected to take an active role in the training and development of staff and take a proactive approach towards health and safety.


The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, self motivated, confident in all areas of communication, and possess excellent leadership skills. You will need to hold a current NPLQ and the First Aid at Work certificate. A recognised leisure management qualification would be an advantage along with a flexible attitude towards work, as shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST


Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking an experienced and competent service provider, with a proven track record, wishing to be considered to tender for the provision of leisure management services in the North of Central Bedfordshire. The facilities included within this contract are Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre, Flitwick Leisure Centre and an option to include Sandy Sports Centre following a review that is currently being undertaken.


The appointed Contractor will be expected to deliver services that are equitable, sustainable and demonstrate a best value approach as defined by the Government. The Contractor will be required to demonstrate innovative ideas and how they will assist the Council with delivery of its Leisure Services both within the facilities, and outside within the community, a service that meets the requirement of the new Public Health agenda.
