Sticks Stones AND TITLEIST TRUE LINKSWEAR

TRUE LINKSWEAR makes one of the lightest shoes in golf. By removing the mid- sole and spikes, the shoes feel almost like a slipper that comfortably grips your feet and still provides the necessary traction. A foam heel cup forms to the foot for a custom fi t and lining regulates temperature inside a shoe packed with style that’s at home on and off the course. MSRP: $159

TITLEIST tweaks its Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls generally every two years but 2011 has seen more extensive changes to perhaps the game’s most popular balls. The number of dimples has decreased and cover the surface in fi ve different sizes, affording the balls more penetrating fl ight that hold their line in the wind. As with the past, the Pro V1 is softer and spins more while the Pro V1x promotes less spin off the driver and has a harder

feel. MSRP: $62. Price for members at Poppy Hills/Ridge Golf Shops: $49.60

CALLAWAY

CALLAWAY’S RAZR X series irons repositions even more weight toward the back of the head for a lower center of gravity. Removing the undercut in the heel and toe increases the stability and ball speed on off-center strikes. The clubs deliver the distance and forgiveness of a wide-sole iron without sacrifi cing the playability and feel of thin-sole clubs. Issued in three models; RAZR X, Tour and Forged. MSRP: $699-$899 depending on model and shaft
