REPRESENTATIVE MEETINGS

THANK YOU

Contra Costa To Host Foundation Honorary Board A warm thank you to CONTRA COSTA CC for hosting an NCGA Foundation honorary

board outing in May. Through the generous donation of the golf course, the Foundation can dedicate more funds to support deserving youth in local communities. Central to the East Bay, the club sits on 145 acres with views of Mt. Diablo, the perfect setting for championship golf dotted with native oak, eucalyptus and redwood trees. Contra Costa has been a member club and loyal supporter of the Association for more than 65 years. Over the past two years the Foundation’s Youth on Course program has subsidized

nearly 110,000 rounds of golf at 120 facilities for almost 9,000 eligible youth and partici- pants have never paid more than $5 for a round of golf. Youth on Course has expanded its scope and has become increasingly focused on at-risk youth. The program makes the game affordable and ac- cessible while simultaneously developing life skills and values which are taught at Youth on Course clinics and online through a web-based life skills curriculum. The Youth on Course curriculum provides goal-setting, healthy

lifestyle choices and nutrition education. To include youth from all socioeconomic back- grounds, the Foundation partners with local organizations to identify underserved youth in communities who would not otherwise have such opportunities.

MEMBER OUTINGS

The NCGA Members-Only Outing program is a popular component of the ever-growing list of member benefi ts. Outings offer NCGA members more access, at a discounted rate, to a variety of private and resort golf courses. The cost of each outing typically covers

Is your club taking advantage of all NCGA member benefi ts including free lessons, merchandise, hotel and airline discounts? Have you looked into using eClubhouse as a member-club management tool? How can your club partner with the NCGA Foundation to promote life skills and values through golf to kids in your community? Your club can’t afford to miss a club representa- tive day to learn all that is provided through NCGA membership. Although there is no charge for the meeting, there is a fee for golf which is available on a fi rst-come, fi rst- served basis. Clubs may send up to four representatives. The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with informative presentations by the NCGA staff and includes an open forum to address your questions.
