companies have announced that
the distribution of the OV2 and OV4 standalone systems will be handled by the Borehamwood- based manufacturer.

– which comprises a main unit that fits inside the amp, connected to interceptors that fit between the valve base and the valve – monitors the amp’s performance and will isolate faulty tubes by running them at half power until the tubes can be changed. DIVO has many benefits, including extending the lifespan of valves, improving amplifier reliability and saving on any costs to have the tubes re-biased.
Tubesync’s co-founder Andy Fallon explained that the system “doesn’t make amps sound better, but it makes them sound brand new for much longer”. Orange Amps will be offering this as an option for the new Rockerverb 100, which is described as ‘DIVO ready’. For other Orange amps and most other brands, Orange offers the DIVO Orange Tube Sync OV4, a complete standalone unit. The new OV4 unit (with four valve interceptors) retails for £299 (inc. VAT) whilst the
OV2 (2 valve interceptors) retails for £279 and will be

“The beauty of the standalone unit is that it can be used in almost any amplifier, not just Orange,” said Damon Waller, Orange’s MD.
“It even enables the user to mix output valves, which of course opens up a world of tone

Music Show readies industry for Christmas sales season
FURTHER DETAILS of the new consumer music event planned for later this year have emerged – including the show’s moniker. The Music Show is being held
at Earl’s Court from Friday November 11th to Sunday November 13th. As revealed by MI Pro last month, the event is being organised by Clarion Events, together with Future and the MIA. According to Clarion – the organisers behind Top Gear Live, amongst other consumers shows – the Music Show is timed to give the industry a new platform during the key buying period in the run-up to Christmas. Visitors will be invited to
‘play, see and try’ different musical instruments, check out
the latest sound and recording equipment, hear and see live performances and even meet stars. Education will also be a vital element of the show, with a wide set of demonstrations and tutorials. The show is presented by
Musicradar.com and supported by Guitarist, Guitar Techniques, Total Guitar, Rhythm, Future Music and Computer Music. A six-month advertising campaign through these brands, as well as Future’s portfolio of games, cycling, automotive and fan- based titles, will target a broad range of consumers. Gavin Mortimer, of PRS
Guitars’ UK supplier, Headline Music, has already committed to exhibit at show. “We feel
exhibitions have an even more significant role to play by stimulating demand in the current market,” he said. “At a show potential customers can
see all models, hear great demos, and freely play top of the line PRS guitars, which they couldn’t do online. We often speak to customers who have
bought guitars after trying at an event and would not have done so had they not first played them there.” CLARION: 020 7370 8891
