Bradken’s Amite metalcasting facility pours large steel castings for a range of industries.


Bradken, Newcastle, Australia, announced it will spend $18.1 million to expand the capabilities and capacity of its Amite, La., metalcasting facility. Te Amite facility manufactures and machines large steel castings for several industries, including mining, construction, dredge, marine, and oil and gas. According to a Bradken press release, the improvements will include expanding the building devoted to metalcasting and installing manufacturing equipment, such as molding equipment, cranes and furnaces.


Revstone to Acquire Ferrous Caster Tisamatic


Revstone Industries LLC, Lexington, Ky., announced it will acquire ferrous auto- motive caster Tisamatic S. de. R.L. de C.V., Monterrey, Mexico. Revstone, which added a third diecasting plant to its portfolio earlier this year and has several other metalcasting assets, announced its intent to purchase the metalcasting facility from Industrias Xignux S.A. de C.V. on Feb. 3. Te facility produces iron castings for the automotive sector, in addition to home appliances, cast iron connections and soil pipes. Te transaction is expected to close in the first half of the year.
