and adventure seekers alike will have a great reason to get their feet wet this spring - the Strictly Sail Pacific Boat Show returns to Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. Featuring the latest sailboats and sailing gear, free sailboat rides, hundreds of seminars, and numerous activities for kids and adults alike, Strictly Sail Pacific 2011 offers people of all ages a fun and exciting chance to get outside, get on the water, and score a pair of bona fide sea legs. This year's show centers around hands-on events and on-the- water demonstrations, with exhibits in the spacious and newly-expanded Pavilion, and boats of all types and sizes located in the scenic Jack London Square marina. With a record number of “demo” boats and unprecedented access to the beautiful waters of the Bay Area, Strictly Sail Pacific 2011 promises every attendee a chance to get in a boat and experience the unique thrill of sailing. The event also includes special programming for all ages and interests, including a Kids Zone and Youth Sailing activities; a Fun Zone featuring the show's smallest, splashiest, and speediest boats; a DIY pavilion dedicated to instructing boat owners on maintenance and repair; and an extensive seminar program featuring many top names in sailing. A V.I.P. Night hosted by boat dealers and builders is planned for Thursday, April 14, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. “Strictly Sail Pacific is the perfect place for long-time sailing enthusiasts to brush up on their skills and offers newcomers an exciting chance to get on the water, experience the thrill of sailing, and see all that this wonderful pastime has to offer,” said Sail America Executive Director, Jonathan Banks. “With never-before-seen sailing products from top suppliers from all over the world, a collection of exquisite sailboats, and a fun, engaging line-up of special programming, this will be an unparalleled event for anyone interested in sailing.”
