48° North on the CYC of Tacoma’s Star Clipper Valentine Cruise
This picture was taken February 15, 2011 aboard the
Star Clipper, off Norman Island in the Caribbean. There were members from Corinthian Yacht Club of Tacoma, Seattle Yacht Club, and San Francisco Yacht Club, all reading 48° North.

FYI for those of us stuck in colder climes, Norman island is in the British Virgin Islands. We’ll assume those red faces are from the sun and not from the Pirates Bight Bar. Thanks for the great photo.
Praise for Duwamish Head It was great seeing you the Boat Show. But, what I’m
really writing about is your article about the Duwamish Head Race in the February issue. I see it was written by Peggy Johnson. What a nicely done story. Her format of bringing in several participants in different classes to put their slant on the race made for great reading. I know Pat got a kick out of seeing Liberte’ featured in several pictures too. Please extend my complements to Peggy and thank you for a very nice article.
