The Big Winter Warmer!


Sporting an array of fancy dress costumes…including Father Christmas, a bee, a wolf, a witch and ballet dancers….a big splash was made as the icy waters crashed onto the shoreline. This has become an annual sponsored event that always attracts many spectators, who are also able to meet some of Secret World’s bird handlers to learn more about the wildlife that the centre cares for.


Our brave ‘Winter Warmer’ participants have raised over £1,220 so far and sponsorship is still being collected! These funds will go directly towards the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife and we thank them for their support. If you missed your chance this year to ‘take a refreshing dip’ then there is always 2011! Look out for further details of our Winter Warmer 2011 later in the year.
