Each year we manage to bring in the funds but there is very little held to ensure that Secret World will always be here for the animals. Your actions could mean there will always be somewhere safe and secure for wildlife casualties. Somewhere that each individual will be given the love and care that it deserves.


If you have remembered us in your will, we would love to hear from you. Mainly because we would like to say thank you but also it would give us the opportunity to discuss with you what your actions could mean to us. We would also like you to know how we want Secret World to progress. With your gift, you can further improve the security of Secret World Wildlife Rescue so that it continues its vital work long into the future.

Santa the Little Owl


Just before Christmas the Matthews family were sitting in their lounge one evening watching television when a Little Owl suddenly came down the chimney.


We think he must have been sitting near the chimney trying to find some warmth. Maybe a gust of wind or he could have lost his balance and tumbled down the chimney - arriving unhurt but a little shocked. The family brought him out to our Centre and, of course, even before he got here, he had been named Santa for obvious reasons.


Santa stayed at Secret World for his Christmas and we waited until the weather had improved and it would be easier for little Santa to find his own food before he went back to the wild. The Matthews family were all able to be there to see their lucky ‘Santa’ eventually being released.
