Cost effective contract proofing
Solutions for colour-accurate contract proofing are enhanced with the
introduction of ProofMaster Plus and ProofMaster Certify 4.1 available from Four Pees. This new version introduces support for the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 with SpectroProofer. Said to offer a cost effective contract proofing match for designers or photographers, ProofMaster Certify, in combination with the Epson Stylus Pro 4900, boasts easy set up, such that anyone can be producing industry-standard certified proofs within minutes. It comes with all the necessary colour profiles to create ISO 12647-7 compliant proofs on specific sets of quality, Fogra certified ProofMaster Media. ProofMaster Plus 4.1 also
features a revamped calibration and profiling wizard for more accurate, more productive and more economic printer profiling. It has a cleaner interface to improve legibility and to better guide the user through the steps needed.

President of Mutoh’s European operations, Arthur Vanhoutte, said: “Our new inks have been tuned specifically to our Spitfire Extreme and Blizzard printer families, to offer stability and ensure uninterrupted printing for extended periods. Compared to our existing inks, the new MS Ultra inks will provide wider media compatibility and a higher performance in number of square metres printed per hour. They also have a longer shelf life of 18 months, require only weekly maintenance and last but not least, do not require daily printing, as is typically the case with mild solvent inks.”
The new MS Ultra cyclohexanone and NMP free inks are offered in 440ml ink cassettes and bulk ink bottles of one litre. Inks are suited for indoor and outdoor commercial print applications with an outdoor UV durability of up to three years without lamination. For heavy-duty applications involving mechanical stress, lamination is recommended. Ink chemistry is said to offer media compatibility across a range of self adhesives and other flexible substrates with typical production speeds of up to 16.5 m2/h for the Spitfire Extreme 65, 36 m2/h for the Blizzard 65 and 42 m2/h for the Spitfire 100 Extreme.
