FEATURE: SHINING BRIGHT SHINING BRIGHT! by Robin George Attention To Detail – Detailed Attention
Vision Supplies Ltd the Leeds based supplier of consumable products and machinery to the print industry celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and continues to increase its market share not only in the UK but as far afield as Australia, recently signing an agreement to exclusively distribute machinery for Chim 92 the Lyon based manufacturer of screen cleaning chemicals and machinery worldwide.
Paul Waterton, Managing Director takes up the story. “Our company’s success is down to a number of factors, all important in their own way. Our ethos is very much focused on attention to detail and we have developed and grown our business by maintaining this concept throughout our enterprise.
We work very closely with Chim 92 and having sold a number of machines in the UK we were approached by them to sell their equipment worldwide with the exception of France their home market. Our relationship with Chim 92 is almost 10 years old and a new agreement has allowed us to export products as far afield as Australia where we now have 4 installations. We have recently supplied a new machine to Sweden to the largest screen printer in the Stockholm area and are finalising the installation of another UK machine as this article goes to press.”
He continues. ”Chim 92’s unique screen cleaning systems are in my opinion the most advanced systems available and when companies consider the performance advantages of a screen cleaner that removes ink, stencil, anti-stains, rinses and dries in one pass, then Chim 92 machinery is often at the top of their capital expenditure list. I’m sure our attention to detail in the supply of this equipment prompted Chim 92 to ask us to sell the equipment worldwide, from our 10 year mechanical extended warranties to our performance guarantees (which are written to confirm the cleaning performance of the machines) it’s all about detail.” Waterton summarises. “Chim 92 are a very important partner, helping us to develop our business, the quality of their products speak for themselves and we are delighted that we have signed a new long term agreement to continue working with the company who we consider not only business partners, but good friends.”
Think About It
Vision were one of the first companies to introduce multi-substrate UV process inks in the UK. Their Think range of process inks were developed over several years with extensive testing by screen printing companies prior to their UK launch in 2006. Their latest product, Think Type 2 is an advanced formula designed specifically for ease of use on a very wide range of substrates including paper derivatives, vinyls, pvc’s, flat sheet and fluted polypropylenes. Formulated free of NVP, HDDA and oil based solvents the ink is press ready and has, in Vision’s opinion, the lowest build and highest detail of any comparable product on the market.
Vision have been very successful in building sales of their Think ink products signing a number of long term agreements with several blue chip companies.
Colin Hale, Operations Director at Vision continues. “The development of our Think inks took several years, but the reward has been our success, companies who use our products are amazed at the quality and performance. We take great care in the presentation of our products and explain in detail to end users the benefits of them. Generally people don’t like change but once the advantages of our ink products have been witnessed and companies start to use them we get very positive feedback.”
Think inks are distributed from Vision’s Leeds based distribution centre where large quantities of products are held in stock for immediate delivery.
