Murray Supply hosts Oktoberfest field marketing summit
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wholesale plumbing distributor Murray Supply Company held their annual Field Marketing Summit October 22-23, with an Oktoberfest theme. A number of Murray’s sales personnel and 15 Valued Vendor Partners participated in the event. Murray Supply is a member of Af-
filiated Distributors, a nationally rec- ognized buying and marketing group that serves the independent distribu- tors of plumbing, PVF, HVAC, elec- trical and industrial suppliers. Affiliated Distributors strongly en- courages their members to participate in Field Marketing Summits to strengthen relationships between sup-
pliers and distributors. On October 22, the
vendors, reps and Murray Supply branch managers and corporate staff began the evening with a tour at Foothills Brewery in downtown Winston- Salem to kick off Okto- berfest. After the tour the participants enjoyed dinner at the

sales associates, branch managers, purchasing agents, showroom con- sultants and corporate personnel from Murray Supply participated in the event. The suppliers had booth sessions,
where they meet with all of the Mur- ray sales associates to discuss sales, marketing and training goals. The 15 Valued Vendor Partners that

OBITUARY Henry Panza, WinWholesale icon
DAYTON, OHIO – Henry C. Panza, a wholesaling icon for 38 years in the WinWholesale organization, passed away November 23 in Connecticut. His home was in Hamden. Panza, who had an accounting
background before joining Win- Wholesale in 1972, established the regional accounting office in Bran- ford, Conn. Later he was president of Derby N.O. Nelson Company, which later became Shelton Winnelson Co. in Shelton. Over the years, Panza was known
for training people in the wholesaling business and sponsoring the startup of other Win companies. At the time of his death, he worked at Shelton Winnelson and was on the board of directors. His son, Prisco Panza, is president. “Henry was a great sounding board

and was always there for sage advice, counsel and insight no matter where you were or what you did in the or- ganization,” said Rick Schwartz, WinWholesale president and CEO. “He trained countless people, includ- ing me, in the fundamentals of wholesaling. It’s clear that our pres- ence in the Northeast would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for him.” Services were held November 26 in New Haven, Conn.
