GAME l BEN GRANT has been promoted to marketing director of GAME Australia. He leaves his previous role of commercial manager and will be responsible for developing and growing GAME’s brand in Australia. Grant has worked with the specialist retail giant’s Australian arm for almost
three years, before which he spent five years as GAME Group’s European commercial manager. “Ben’s deep and long-standing supplier relationships, understanding of the gaming industry’s customers and ability to drive growth will be great assets to our business as we try to develop it further,” said GAME Australia’s MD PAUL YARDLEY.
Grant will be replaced by KATHRYN JARVIS, who will be relocating to Sydney to take up her new role.
She was previously head of buying at GAME UK and will be responsible for the firm’s supplier activities. Yardley added: “Kat has worked in the games industry for 12 years and brings with her deep industry and product knowledge, top-class supplier relationships and the ability to drive exceptional deals for our customer to grow both your and our business.”
KOCH l The company has hired JOHNNY DORATIOTTO as the new sales manager for its Benelux office. Doratiotto has worked with Ubisoft for the past ten years, where he rose from key account manager to PR manager and finally sales director. He left the publisher back in April. He said: “I didn’t expect to come back to the gaming business but Koch Media managed to convince me.
“You never have a dull moment in the entertainment software business because of the diversity and the fact that it’s really fast-moving and always challenging. I’m glad to be back.”
LIGHTNING FISH l The UK studio has added two new members to its ranks. BRUCE NESBIT (pictured far left) takes on the role of senior programmer. He has 25 years of programming experience, having worked at development firms such as Bitmap Brothers and Mere Mortals.
