Born in Brooklyn, NY to John and Wanda Lark. She died at home in Arlington, VA on December 17, 2010 from complications of a
stroke.She graduated from the Manhattanville College Army Air Force Program as an RN in 1948 and from 1948-1949 she worked at the French Hospital in New York
City.She married Karl H. Cerny on August 13, 1949 becoming the full time mother of
four.She returned to part-time work in 1966 at the practice of Dr. Joseph
Casolaro.From there she worked full- time for GWU Heath Plan and as afloor nurse for GW Hospital. She returned to school from 1978-1979 to become aNurse Practitioner. She returned to GW Hospital in 1980 and later worked for
Dr.Ng’sPain Clinic and then Kaiser
Permanente.She is survived by her husband, Karl H. Cerny; her three sons,KC, Jack and Tim; and daughter,
Mary.She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday December 20, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 2002 N. Randolph St., Arlington, VA 22207. Philip Louis Chabot, Jr., devoted husband, father,brother,son, and uncle,passed away at his home in Nellysford, VA on December 10, 2010, at age 59. As ayoung man he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle while spending his time hiking, camping, and engaged in community service. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from UVA, and later UVAlaw school, he practiced energy law in the Washington DC area for many years.A skilled sailor,heloved to be on the water at the helm of asailboat, by himself or with friends. As aman of far ranging interests and talents with an easygoing and engaging manner,he loved to read, write,and talk about avariety of subjects.Heloved his family more than anything though, and regularly went without in order to make them safe and
happy.Phil was loved by his friends and neighbors,who knew him to be helpful, caring, and an asset to the neighborhood. He was happiest when he was giving back to his community,using his special skill set to help other people.Heset an admirable example of civic duty.Hewill be enormously missed and fondly remembered by all the people whose lives he touched. In accordance with his wishes,there will be no funeral.

Born in Arkansas in 1922, she was one of nine children. She was an excellent student graduating high school as valedictorian and winning scholarships to Arkansas College.When WWII began she attended Church Home Nursing School affil- iated with Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, where she earned an RN
Degree.Commis- sioned into the Army Nursing Corp as Second Lieutenant, she served at the VA Hospital in Washington, DC and married in 1946. Roma was acareer nurse,working until retirement at the Falls Church Medical

Early in the morning of December 16, 2010, Bernard-Bernie-“Red”-“Pappy” Sekely of Locust Grove, VA passed on to abetter world with his loving family steadfast by his side.
Born on May 11, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine Sekely. Bernie proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps whereheearned the designation of expert marksman as amember of the Marine Corps rifle team. Bernie and his beloved wife Theresa “Dolly” moved their young family to MD in the early 60’s, herehelaunched asuccessful home building career. During Bernie’sillustrious home building career, which spanned nearly half acentury,thousands of home owners from Pennsylvania to Maryland and throughout Virginia benefited from his skills as a master carpenter and custom home builder.
Bernie is survived by his loving and caring wife of 58 years, Dolly; daughter Linda Keppler and her husband Joe; daughter Laura Gilmartin and her husband Jeff; daughter Laverne Zimmer and her husband Calvin; son BernardSekely
Jr.and his wife Frances; daughter Lisa Witkowski and her husband Peter; nine grandchildren, Brad Keppler,Sarah Zimmer,Carlie and Matt Wesche, Jenna Zimmer, Drew Sekely,Diana Zimmer,Emma Witkowski, Alec Witkowski; great grandson Corbin Wesche; and special great grandson Jake Montrose.
