NEWYORK, 11:26 Brandon Jacobs’s eight-yard TD run caps theGiants’ opening drive.
NEWYORK, 5:22 Ahmad Bradshaw’s four-yard run ends another 59-yard drive. On the Giants’ second play from scrimmage,
Brandon Jacobs gained 39 yards on a simple run off left tackle, with Redskins free safety KareemMoore missing a tackle. That was the biggest play in what became a seven-play, 59-yard drive for the Giants, which Jacobs finished off with an easy eight-yard run for a touchdown. On the Redskins’ first possession, right tackle
Jammal Brown was called for a personal foul when he grabbed the facemask of Giants defensive end Justin Tuck. Then Tuck and fellow end Jason Pierre-Paul sacked DonovanMcNabb on third down, an 11-yard loss that forced a punt. The Giants’ second possession was nearly as
easy as their first. Ahmad Bradshawfinished it with a four-yard touchdown run, and less than 10 minutes into the game,NewYork had its second seven-play, 59-yard drive—and a 14-0 lead. The Redskins looked as if they might score on
their next possession, but Graham Gano missed a 43-yard field goal attempt.

NEWYORK, 1:55 Bradshaw’s second touchdown run of the first half covers 10 yards. Using a strong running game, the Giants powered
theirway to a 21-point halftime lead. With about two minutes remaining before the break, Bradshaw carried for 10 yards, plowing throughMoore to reach the end zone. TheGiants werethreatening to put thegameaway
midway through the second quarter, as quarterback EliManning led his offense 75 yards to theWashing- ton 4-yard line. But on first and goal,Manning’s pass to the end zone landed in the arms of Redskins linebacker London Fletcher. It marked the Giants’ league-leading 31st turnover this season and Fletch- er’s first interception of the year. Four plays later,McNabb connected with wide
receiver Anthony Armstrong on an 11-yard pass. But cornerback Terrell Thomas forced a fumble and the Giants recovered on theWashington 39-yard line. The Giants needed just five plays before
Bradshawsteamrolled his way toNewYork’s third touchdown of the day.

NEWYORK, 6:36 A 28-yard TD run by Jacobs puts the Giants ahead by 28 points.
WASHINGTON, 4:35 McNabb connects with Armstrong on a 33-yard scoring strike. The best the Redskins could say about the third
quarter: They stopped the bleeding, at least for a bit. But they had very little to show for it. After being outgained by more than 100 yards in
the first half, the Redskins picked up seven yards on their first offensive series. Their second possession included a dropped pass by fullback Mike Sellers and a sack ofMcNabb by Giants end OsiUmenyiora, who ran by tackle StephonHeyer. Their third possession ended whenMcNabb, who had all day to complete a pass, decided to run— and fumbled the ball away. The Redskins stopped the Giants onNewYork’s
first two possessions of the quarter, butNewYork’s third drive ended with Jacobs’s 28-yard score, the Giants’ fourth rushing touchdown of the game. The Redskins showed some life on their next
drive. The possession began with a 28-yard screen pass fromMcNabb to running back James Davis and ended with a 33-yard scoring pass from McNabb to Armstrong.

NEWYORK, 9:00 Lawrence Tynes kicks a 28-yard field goal after a blocked punt. Sunday’s 31-7 loss will go down as one of the
Redskins’ least impressive performances of the season: They couldn’t stop the Giants’ running game, turned the ball over six times and failed to mount any semblance of offensive momentum. Even the Redskins’ special teams was suspect:
They missed a first-half field goal and the Giants blocked a punt in the fourth quarter, setting up the game’s final score. Any hope the Redskins had of coming back was quickly doused in the opening moments of the fourth quarter. The Redskins reached the Giants 22-yard line, but on the second play of the quarter,McNabb targeted SantanaMoss in the end zone on first down. Thomas, the Giants cornerback, intercepted the ball, killing the Redskins’ best scoring opportunity of the quarter. On a subsequent possession, former
Washington wide receiver Devin Thomas burst through forNewYork and got a hand onHunter Smith’s punt for a partial block. The Giants’ Lawrence Tynes kicked a 28-yard field goal to give NewYork a 24-point lead.
