this trigger and le-


ver are, however, very comfortable. Honestly, I never really felt the lever except when I was working with the handgun from the sandbag rest. On the frame, below the barrel


and forward of the triggerguard there is an accessory rail with three slots where you could mount a weapon’s light, laser or light-laser combo. Be- hind the triggerguard you’ll fi nd the

magazine release. This is an ambidex- trous release I was able to push with either my trigger fi nger or shooting hand thumb without altering my grip on the handgun. This is only the sec- ond pistol with a true ambidextrous, magazine release I could do this with. There are two other controls on the


pistol; the slide lock and take-down lever. The slide lock is positioned at the top center of the grip and is easy to disengage with the thumb of the shooting hand; again, without alter- ing your grip. The take-down lever


is positioned above the triggerguard, and, while it does slightly protrude from the side of the handgun, it does make disassembly a breeze.


Field Stripping To fi eld strip this pistol, make sure


the handgun is unloaded and the mag- azine is removed. Then, pull the slide to the rear and lock it back with the slide lock. Next, rotate the front of the take- down lever up or clockwise 90 degrees, grasp the slide, release the slide lock and ease the slide forward off the pistol.
